This is part of a collection I obtained from a collector who played the LPs only once so as to commit to tape and kept them in pristine condition.

This very early press of this classic LP is in stunning condition, as you would expect for an an LP only played once!  It has the famous Mr Blair's Cut etched into the dead wax.  Under an intense bright light I cannot see any hairlines at all and the sound is outstanding.  No background noise, barely any crackle, no skips or jumps.  I played it all the way through and the quality is sublime.  You will not find an early press as good as this I do not mind saying.  It retains glossy sheen and I cannot stress how good this early press is.  The intros to The Prophet's Song and Love Of My Life is so quiet and free of any crackle etc it is a pleasure to hear!  Just like any of the other quieter parts if I'm honest.

The Garrod and Lofthouse is in wonderful condition also.  There is no wear to the corners and edges and hardly any discolouration which is so common with the white cover of this LP.  It has very faint discolouration on the top of the reverse cover but has obviously been so well looked after.  One small fingerprint mark on the front.  Being an early press it doesn't have the glossy sheen of later versions and has the famous embossed crest of course.  The opening edge is also in superb condition as is the wide spine that is 100% legible.

You will find it extremely difficult to find a better early press than this - nigh on impossible I would say!

Play tested on my Technics SL-J110R turntable system.
