Description
This is a superb copy of this classic LP from 1975 and is so rare to find a 2/2 in this condition. The vinyl is in wonderful condition with only 2/3 faint hairlines across the record, perhaps has just been played once or twice.
The matrix numbers are YAX 5063-2 AND YAX 5064-2 with the famous Blair's (not Blair's cut) etched into the dead wax which confirms it as a first press. The stampers are RGT on both sides
The Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold cover is also Ex++ and looks incredible with only minor wear to a couple of corners. It has remained in a superb clean condition. There is hardly any discolouration which is so common of this classic LP, just slight colouring to the open edge. Being a first press the cover doesn't have the glossy sheen of later versions and of course has the famous embossed crest. The thick spine is excellent also, just very slight "spotting" and is 100% legible. The picture sleeve with the cut corners is in Near Mint condition, not the rounded corners that many others pass off as an early press. This has the thick card and I cannot stress how good it is.
Overall this copy is in fabulous condition and for a first 2/2 press it is so very rare to find one like this. I highly recommend it!
