AT THE BEEB
UK 1989 BAND OF JOY BOJ-LP-001.
(A-1) - (B-1)
-VERY RARE UK ADVANCED WHITE LABEL TEST PRESSING IN MINT- CONDITION-
This is a mega-rare original UK advanced white label test pressing of Queen At The BEEB. The album contains Queen's first two superb 1973 live sessions recorded for the BBC. This earliest advanced white label issue really is very rare and was only ever pressed in very tiny quantities, a very minute amount do exist with a very thin proof sleeve that used slightly different colours to those of the commercially available Band Of Joy release, it is highly unlikely that the miniscule amount with the proof sleeve will ever surface for sale so this original UK test pressing issue without is the next best thing. It's a pretty plain looking item so i have made and printed 2 x A4 inserts and also included five and a bit pages with the lyrics to all eight tracks, these printed lyrics include any changes that were made to the original album versions, and there are a few very noticeable ones. I am also throwing in a scarce official Queen postcard with a excellent very early picture of the band on the front.
This excellent rare album contains some stunning sounding very early alternate versions to some of Queen's best harder edged heavy rock tracks, some of the longer tracks such as 'Liar' & 'Son And Daughter' sound absolutely superb and would appeal to progressive rock fans as well as Queen fans.
VINYL CONDITION = MINT- (LOOKS BRAND NEW)
Both sides of the vinyl are in immaculate condition, both sides have that excellent just pressed look, there are no surface marks, scuffs or scratches to mention at all, even in bright light both sides look as new. All tracks play and sound a superb excellent++/M- throughout with a very clean and clear sound quality that is free of loud clicks or pops or annoying crackle. This very rare Queen test pressing album has only ever had just 1 or 2 very careful plays on a decent turntable. A brilliant Queen item that will definitely not disappoint and will never need upgrading.
LABELS, COVERS + INSERTS = MINT
Both white labels are very clean and bright and still look brand new. The vinyl comes in a plain white die-cut paper sleeve which is placed inside a thick black outer die-cut card sleeve, both are in mint condition. The 2 inserts and the 6 pages of lyrics are printed on the back of thick great quality photo paper, these are all in mint condition. The scarce postcard is also as new with no faults.
This is just top condition extremely rare UK white label test pressing that would make a superb addition to any serious Queen collection.
