This superb Jazz LP is another I obtained from a collector who played his LPs just the once so as to record them onto tape.
This first press of Jazz is without doubt one of the best I have seen and is all the more rare in that it still has the "bicycle" poster still attached. The vinyl is in wonderful condition and I can only detect one faint wispy hairline on Side One, it really is in stunning condition.
The Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold cover is in excellent condition also, again one of the better ones I have seen. There is just very slight wear on the corners as you would expect and slight marking on the reverse "white" cover. It retains a strong wide spine that is 100% legible. The cover also has the embossed Jazz logo denoting an early press.
The inner photo sleeve with rounded corners (later ones were square) is in great condition also. So often the sleeve has become unglued but not this one.
Overall a fantastic first press, one of the best I have seen, and would be a great addition to any collection.
Cat no EMA 788 - Matrix nos YAX5550-1U / YAX5551-1U and RTB-2 and RTB-1 and Sterling etched into the dead wax also.

ALL RECORDS ARE PROFESSIONALLY PACKED IN STRONG MAILERS WITH CARDBOARD STIFFENERS. THE RECORDS ARE ALSO REMOVED FROM THEIR SLEEVES TO AVOID CUTTING THROUGH THE COVER AND PUT INTO A SEPARATE SLEEVE, AND THEN PLACED INSIDE A PVC SLEEVE.
