Queen
A Kind of Magic LP- New Zealand issue on ORANGE vinyl – original 1986 pressing by EMI New Zealand- partially to commemorate their successful and only NZ show on 13th April 1985. Queen’s popularity was high at the time!
See my other auction for the original New Zealand (Australasian) tour program from their only NZ show !
This orange vinyl contains the full Kind of Magic LP – comes with the original inner sleeve as well. These were pressed in Wellington at the EMI plant. There exist different variations of the orange colour- the first run was super orange/fluro (burn your eyes out) – but most are like this one- a light translucent orange. They are all first pressings.
NB: I will remove the disc from the sleeve when posting to ensure no damage to the sleeve during transit.
(I use the Record Collector grading system- see full description below)
Condition of sleeve: VG+: Excellent condition- basic signs of use- little creases and very slight wear to the edges - ! Comes with inner sleeve. No seam splits on outer cover but inner sleeve has ½ inch split on the bottom etc
.
Condition of record: VG : has several light marks on both sides with signs of play/handling- still very playable with excellent sound quality. Only a few pops and crackles here and there !
.
Please note: that I am in New Zealand and the records will be posted from here......please note that shipping to the USA is not $4 - please ignore the default $4 shipping rate that may appear via the eBaY system.
Postage:
There are 2 rates that you can choose from - "International Economy Courier" or "1st Class Airmail"
(1) International Economy Courier – Takes 3-7 working days. To comply with PayPal's protection - to send this LP to the USA,UK or Europe via a registered + tracked service with signature delivery it would cost US$36 .....Unfortunately there is no cheaper registered/tracked mail option via NZ post. This is the minimum they charge for this service. Feel free to check for yourselves on www.nzpost.co.nz
(2) 1st Class Airmail- takes approx 5-10 working days - not a registered service -by choosing this option you agree that I cannot be held accountable for a lost parcel. However I will make every effort to help file a claim should any loss occur (I will keep the postage receipts). This is the service I always use myself when buying goods from eBay and have had few issues in 13 years of being a member. This option will cost US$17.
NB- I use recycled packaging as we don't get LP/Record mailers down here in New Zealand but will pack well ! I don't charge for packaging-this isn't a business for me & is just my passion but just need you to cover the actual postage costs !
Payment:
Please make payment within 3 days of your purchase - Paypal is the best option!
Any questions- Please ask......
The Record Collector Grading System
In order to assist everyone who buys and sells rare discs, Record Collector magazine has originated a set of standards for the condition of second-hand records, cassettes and CDs. The seven standard condition categories, and a description of what each one means, are listed below:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
