Queen : Made In Heaven A2/B2 1st Press Cream Vinyl Limited Edition (Complete)
I recently purchased a stunning Queen collection among which were a selection of their 'modern' releases including a rare un-played version of this classic album. The previous owner confirmed they had never been played so my audio grading is the first time they have ever been on a turntable! I was even told the three posters had never been removed from the cover!
The vinyl is immaculate, I have never seen better, and the gatefold is also one of the finest I have ever seen. The lyric inner (with no 'Heaven For Everyone' lyrics as per the first pressings) is pristine as is the small advertising flyer which often isn't included.
With international shipping (including Europe now) I will declare a lower amount so as to decrease/avoid any Customs' fees.

Visual grading
The vinyl is in beautiful condition and still retains an immaculate glossy sheen. There are no marks or scratches and I cannot detect any hairlines either. 'Shop fresh' basically. As you would there is no spindle wear and only the S1 label has a couple of very faint 'spots'.
Play grading
S1 plays as an un-played vinyl should. There is no need to individually describe each track in detail as the clarity and depth of the audio could not be any more impressive. It is well known that the quiet intro on 'It's a Beautiful Day' often plays with a fair amount of static/crackle but I only detected one light dust tick here, the clarity is STUNNING! The remainder is equally as good and this is easily a Mint- start to the side. With complete silence in the dead wax 'Made In Heaven' then plays 'as new' with no interference of any kind and 'Let Me Live' is of the same 'high end' standard with not even a single dust tick to be heard. The intro on 'Mother Love' is perfect and it continues to play with faultless precision. The end section is sublime and even the baby cry has no 'background'! The final track 'My Life Has Been Saved' has that same un-played quality and if the first track is Mint- then the remaining tracks easily grade as Mint such is the clarity, depth and warmth on offer here.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'I Was Born To Love You' on S2 is stunning from start to finish with...no interference. A couple of barely audible dust ticks on the intro that is all, pure audio perfection otherwise! For once the intro on 'Heaven For Everyone' is 'as new' with no 'background' at all it then plays with a clarity that defies its 25 years! Another Mint track. 'Too Much Love Will Kill You' plays beautifully with no intrusion - not even a dust tick as I often say when presented with perfect clarity! 'You Don't Fool Me' also plays like the record was pressed only yesterday and 'A Winter's Tale' then plays with impeccable precision from start to finish. The reprise of 'It's A Beautiful Day' again plays with outstanding clarity and nowhere is that more evident than on the quiet intro. From the first note to the last this side plays to a breathtaking standard with literally no interference of any kind. The playback is stunning in every way and Mint is more than deserved.
In summary this first pressing could not play with any greater precision. The clarity and definition of the audio is up there with the best I have ever listened to. Of course un-played records have to have been carefully stored over the years in order to play with its original quality and thankfully this one has been. Together with a superb cover this would add to any collection. A stunning album for sure!
The Gatefold, Posters & Lyric Inner
This iconic cover is in fantastic condition and not surprisingly is still so strong and robust that only results from being so well preserved down the years. It has retained its original shape so well and has clearly hardly ever been handled. It is as close to perfect as could be with only one miniscule 'speck' on the top edge of the back cover and a very minor amount of wear at the top of the wide spine. It really is in lovely condition lovely condition and the front and back cover are pristine as is the inside. Both opening edges are also untouched.
The three posters are in superb condition with no rips or tears and only a couple have a very small number of faint age related 'spots' on the reverse side. The lyric inner is 'as new' with no side splits or marks. The flyer is also in perfect condition.
Play tested on my Pro-Ject Essential III Turntable / B&W 684 Speakers
This record has been cleaned on a Pro-Ject VC-S machine
