Queen : The Miracle A1/B2 1st Press

This first pressing plays with stunning precision on both sides and the only interference is one light click on 'My Baby Does Me' on S2.  Apart from that it plays with perfect clarity on both sides with no sign of any static let alone anything more.  I suspect the vinyl has only been played once, maybe twice at most based on the audio quality and that there is no spindle wear on the labels.  The vinyl is also visually stunning.

The cover is almost 'as new' with only one very minor crease and the lyric inner is just as good.  A stunning album for sure.

Visual grading

'Party' is 'as new' from start to finish with no interference.  As always I listen to every track in full so as to provide a 'complete' grading and this is as good a start to the album that you could wish for.  The sonic quality is equal to that of an un-played (perhaps it is!) and Mint is richly deserved.

'Khashoggi's Ship' keeps up this fine standard and the clarity, power and depth of the audio is faultless.  There are no ticks, clicks, pops or static.  Another Mint track.

'The Miracle' impresses on every level and again 'as new' is a fair assessment of the audio.  There is literally no 'background' to be heard and to think this record is 32 years old.  Mint

This album was recorded 'loud' and nowhere is that more obvious than on 'I Want It All'.  It can be turned up to max with no distortion and the power and resonance of the audio is phenomenal.  There is no interference and Mint is again an honest appraisal of the audio.

The final track on the side 'The Invisible Man' has such depth to the music and again you're thinking has this ever been played before?!  From the first note to the last this is Mint in every way.  The fade out also plays to perfection as do all the others!

The intro on 'Breakthru' often plays with static/crackle but there is no interference here.  It is a perfect Mint start and as the pace and volume up the quality does not decrease in any way.  Every note plays with sublime precision and Mint is again an easy grade to give.

'Rain Must Fall' is of the same 'high end' standard with no intrusion.  A bass heavy track the audio is so strong and deep and the playback is immaculate from start to finish and that includes the fade out.  Mint

The intro on 'Scandal' is again often plagued by static but this one is as 'clean' as the day it was first pressed!  It plays with outstanding quality through every section, the clarity and definition is 'as new'.  The depth on this track is incredible - I had to turn it up loud to achieve the full affect!  An immaculate Mint version.

The deep bass intro on 'My Baby Does Me' is perfect and it proceeds in much the same way with just one light click during the brief mid instrumental.  A little frustrating!  Apart from that it plays with stunning audio and the remainder plays beautifully.  Near Mint will have to used here.

'Was It All Worth It' plays with stunning clarity on the intro and as Brian comes in the playback is flawless.  So powerful and no distortion.  Freddie's opening vocal is equally as impressive and this classic continues to play with breathtaking quality.  The mid instrumental is 'as new' as is the rest of the track.  I haven't found many Mint versions of this classic but we certainly have found one here!

In summary this first pressing plays with sublime quality with only the one light click on S2.  How often on a super clean vinyl do I find one click?!  In essence apart from one millisecond of interference this plays as clearly as it would have done back in '89 and it is 100% obvious this record has hardly been played.  As stated there is no spindle wear and the clarity, depth and warmth of the audio certainly plays like it has never had a 'spin' on a turntable.  The sonic quality is stunning on both sides and there is also complete silence in the dead wax between tracks.

The Cover & Lyric Inner

The cover is in exceptional condition with no real wear of any kind.  The edges have barely any rubbing and the spine is in perfect order with no corner wear.  The top right corners is just as good and only the bottom right one has a very small crease mark, it really is very minimal.  The opening edge is also in pristine condition.  The front cover is so clean, it is unmarked, and the back cover is the same.  It has retained its original shape so well and has hardly ever been handled.  A stunning example of this 1989 cover.

The lyric inner is near perfect with just one very small corner crease.
