Queen : The Miracle A1/B2 1st Press

This first pressing plays with stunning quality on both sides.  The clarity and depth of the audio is of a 'high end' standard and there is no real interference at all.  A couple of light ticks at the start and just a minimal touch of mega light static on a couple of intros on S2 but this is not interference!  There are no clicks or pops to be heard.  The vinyl has in no way been overplayed and has only the bare minimum of spindle wear on the labels.

The cover has been preserved very well and remains in excellent condition with hardly any shelf wear and the lyric inner is in perfect condition.

Visual grading

'Party' has only a couple of very light static ticks on the intro and then plays 'as new' with no interference.  The clarity and power of the audio is superb and the depth is also just as impressive.  It really does play with great sound!  A Near Mint+ start to the album although 99% is even better than that!

'Khashoggi's Ship' is faultless from the first groove to the last with no ticks, clicks, pops or static.  This is Mint there is no need for a minus here!

The intro on 'The Miracle' has no 'background' and it continues to play with a clarity that is equal to that of an unplayed record.  There is no intrusion on the audio and the final 'choral' section also plays beautifully.  Another Mint track.

This album was recorded 'loud' and that is obvious on 'I Want It All'.  It plays with exceptional power and definition and you can turn it up to max with no fear of distortion.  The audio 'fills' the room with incredible power, depth and resonance and again there is no interference.  It could not play any better and Mint is very much deserved.

'The Invisible Man' ends the side with sublime quality from start to finish.  Again there is such depth to the music and of course the bass is so strong here.  Even the fade out plays perfectly.  This is Mint in every way.

The intro on 'Breakthru' so often plays with a lot of static/crackle but this has only the bare minimum of light static that is totally non-intrusive.  It is so quiet and there are no clicks or pops.  As the pace quickens the audio cannot be faulted and it continues to play with great quality and...no interference.  Every note plays with sublime precision and if the intro is Near Mint- then the rest is Mint for sure.

'Rain Must Fall' is 'as new' from the opening note to the last.  This is of course a bass heavy track and I can say that it has lost none of its original quality.  The playback is so strong and there are no negatives aside from a minor amount of light static on the fade out.  Mint-

The intro on 'Scandal' is again often affected by loud static or worse but there is only a hint of very light static here.  A very strong start!  It then plays with outstanding clarity and power for the remainder and is easily one of the most impressive versions I have heard in a long time.  In essence there is no interference but I will grade the intro as Near Mint- and the rest as Mint it is that good.

The deep bass intro on 'My Baby Does Me' plays to perfection and it continues in the same way with a sonic quality that has not diminished over the last 32 years.  There is no 'background' and Mint is an easy grade to give.

The intro on 'Was It All Worth It' plays with stunning clarity and Brian's powerful introduction is flawless.  Freddie's opening vocal is just as strong and it continues to perform with breathtaking quality.  The mid instrumental is 'as new' and to the end it plays so powerfully with no sign of any distortion.  It's rare to find a Mint- version of this classic but we have one here!

In summary this first pressing plays to a fantastic standard with it could be said no interference.  Ok a couple of very light ticks right at the start and a hint of mega light static on a couple of intros but this is clearly not intrusive in any shape or form.  This is without question one of the finest examples of this first pressing that I have ever heard and to repeat there are no clicks or pops!  Based on the audio quality and the minimal spindle wear this is a record that has only been very lightly played and that reflects in the clarity, depth and warmth of the audio on offer here.  Stunning!

The Cover & Lyric Inner

The cover is in excellent condition with only very minimal wear.  The top edge has one tiny 'rub' and the bottom edge just a little more.  The spine is fully legible and has only a couple of minor indents and a small number of white specks.  Overall the corners are very clean with only a small amount of wear, a small white corner rub can be seen top left.  The opening edge is pristine and the front cover is in lovely order with no marking, just a few very faint creases around the edges.  It still has the original price sticker top right.  The back cover is also very clean with only a small number of light edge creases again.  A fine example overall.

The lyric inner is in perfect condition with no side splits or marking and no creasing either.
