Description

In 1980, British rock icons Queen released their eighth studio album, and titled it 'The Game'. It sold MILLIONS of copies worldwide, and gave us huge hits, such as "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" and "Another One Bites the Dust". (One was an Elvis tribute song, and the other was a bass thumping disco track!) Each song is unique and diverse, and this record saw the band trying new things in the studio. They even began using synthesizers, which the band proudly boasted about never using before! 2020 saw the FORTY year anniversary of this landmark release, and the online Queen store sold ONLY 1980 copies. (To honor the year it came out.) With millions of Queen fans all over the world, you can imagine how quickly these became highly sought after collector's items!

In today's rockin' good deal, you can own a low numbered copy (331 out of 1980), that comes with its original die-cut sleeve! And I'll also kick in, as a special added bonus, a copy of the 12" picture disc single for the awesome song "It's a Hard Life"! Taken from the 1984 album 'The Works', this great tune is backed with "Is This the World We Created...?" on the B side. Freddie and Brian performed this song as an encore at Live Aid! And the band is wearing their wild Shakespearean outfits from the video for "It's a Hard Life" on the picture disc's front and back artwork! A really nice companion piece to the picture disc of 'The Game'!

I bought this copy of 'The Game' used, but the person I bought it from purchased it new, (from the online store). I never played it, as I never play my picture discs, and he said he never played it, either. It looks fantastic, and the vinyl is still all shiny and clean! The jacket also looks great, and can pass for something new. "It's a Hard Life" has some light surface marks and light scuffs on it. Nothing too bad, and hardly noticeable in ordinary lighting. (It's when you look at it under a bright light that you can see the slight imperfections.) Can't vouch for the sound, either, as again, I never play picture discs.

A really sweet and rare Queen collectible picture disc double shot, for that loved one in your life who's crazy about Queen and Freddie Mercury, collectors of classic rock picture discs; or grab this for yourself, because you know you're worth it!
