DESCRIPTION: Funked-out, super-soulshaking club stormer with killer break by NY vocalist, Queen Yahna! This is the original, misspelled 1976 auburn typeset pressing (Queen's surname is incorrectly listed as Yahua instead of Yahna) that truly plays at 45rpm! [The bootlegged version - recorded from needledrops off the original 12" - has black typeset and plays at 33 1/3, even though the label says 45rpm.] Please note that track durations on both labels are also incorrect. Neither side plays at 5:00 -- Side 1 actually plays 3:53 and Side 2 plays 3:59. Side One Matrix: P+P 12-1010A-1 Al Brown K-7826 GOL FW/O. Side Two Matrix: P+P 12-1010B-1 Al Brown K-7827 GOL FW/O. Produced by Capraquarius. P&P Records (Patrick Adams and Peter Brown) catalog #12-1010. A must-have for any DJ or collector passionate about classic disco music from the '70s!
CONDITION: The vinyl contains absolutely no fingerprints or dust of any kind - it's immaculately clean! This magnificent record has been played frequently, however, and contains numerous hairline grazes and light-to-moderate scuffs that cause faintly noticeable background crackle. Also, although the disc has lost a shade or two of its original brilliant luster, the audio remains extremely full-bodied and dynamic, as evidenced by these two samples. The labels are in good condition with no spindle marks or wear around the center hole but the number "45" is written in black marker on Side Two. The original record jacket is missing and has been replaced with a brand new, laminated all-white one. Vinyl protected in a deluxe, poly-lined, paper inner-sleeve.
