Description
Seattle progressive metalers Queensryche released their best selling album in 1990. It's hard to believe it's been THIRTY TWO years since 'Empire' was originally released! The album came out and blew us all away. The music was catchy and melodic, but still rocking hard! One of the songs that got massive airplay on the radio is the track "Jet City Woman", represented here with a shaped picture disc release. It's the band's tri-ryche logo, with one song on each side. ("Jet City Woman" is on the A side, with a live version of the track "Empire" on the B side.) This comes in its original PVC clear jacket, with backing card. Vinyl looks great, with only a few very light surface marks on it. (I can't vouch for the sound, as I never play specialty vinyl, such as pic discs or colored vinyl.) Backing card looks great, and has no rips or tears, holes, or handwriting anywhere on it!
I'll also add a SECOND shaped picture disc from the smash hit album 'Empire'! It's the title track on the A side, and their version of an old Simon and Garfunkel tune, "Scarborough Fair/Canticle" on the B side. Pic disc comes with its original backing card. This backing card is looking pretty good, with no rips or tears, holes, or handwriting anywhere on it! Just a slight bend or two. Nothing too bad, but the bends are noticeable.
Both records have a few surface marks on them. Nothing that looks bad, but I can't vouch for their sound quality, as I never play specialty vinyl, such as pic discs and colored records. And pic discs from 1990 probably sound like most pic discs from that era...terrible! Sound quality came a little later, and the modern pic discs sound awesome!
The perfect gift for that Queensryche fan in your life who has (nearly) everything. Or fans of Seattle metal. Or collectors of shaped picture discs. With vintage Queensryche, any vintage memorabilia is always a good thing!
