Description
This set is being re-listed due to an error in the original listing--
SQ quadraphonic/stereo compatible recording, 8LP box set of Eugen Jochum's EMI/London Symphony Orchestra complete Beethoven symphonic cycle. Other rhan Kempe's earlier Munich cycle (which I also have up for auction) I believe this is the is the only major-label Beethoven cycle in quad. The performances are magnificent, as is the sound.
Box has expectable edgewear; vinyl is NM/NM-, 1977-79 copyright dates US-pressings, golden clouds label. Produced by Christopher Bishop and engineered by Christopher Parker, EMI's quadraphonic wizards--at least based one my own listening experiences.
I will be listing a large number of classical LPs in the coming days, sorted alphabetically by label including many SQ quads. There will also be some pop/vocal/jazz/EZ-lounge items at the end of the batch.
