Description
HARVEST SHVL 775. QUATERMASS. Original 1970 UK pressing. This is a true first pressing with no EMI logo on the label and the side 1 matrix number ending in A-1 and the side 2 matrix number ending in B-2. The glossy laminated, gatefold cover grades VG++ with just very slight general wear. A visual grade of the record is VG+ with some light surface marks - nothing ugly or dramatic, has nice gloss. A play grade is consistently in the VG++ range. There is some light cackle at the very begining of each side. I've provided a sound clip of "Gemini" which starts side 2 so you can hear what I've described. I've also provided a sound clip of "Black Sheep of the Family". Any skipping heard during the playback of the audio samples is strictly of the digital variety - the record itself does not skip. Overall, this is a nice, clean copy.
Save on shipping with multiple wins. For US buyers each additional LP is 25 cents for media mail. For international buyers each additional LP is $4.00. I do not end auctions early and will not respond to requests to do so. Due to a persistent problem with late payments, full payment must be received within 72 hours unless other arrangements are made. Be aware that the US Postal Service DRAMATICALLY increased rates, particularly for International packages, in January 2013. Please review shipping costs before bidding.
GRADING
Near Mint - No visible flaws, full gloss appearance.
VG++ - Not quite NM but a nice desirable copy, extremely minor wear.
VG+ - Shows signs of wear but has no major flaws.
VG - Obvious signs of wear, but still has life in it. VG does not mean beat.
VG minus - Moderate to heavy wear, OK if you need a filler copy.
G - Borders on unplayable. Don't be bothered.
