Queen A Night at the Opera 12" Vinyl LP
UK Pressing - EMI Record Label - EMTC 103
YAX 5063 - 4 BLAIR'S / YAX 5064 5
This is an extremely clean example of Queen's classic 1975 album. I have owned the album from new since 1975. It was given to me as a gift, but was very rarely played as I had already bought my own copy! Consequently, both the sleeve and the vinyl are in particularly good condition, and the record had always been kept in a strong plastic cover. So the sleeve especially is in an unusually good condition.
While I would not describe the sleeve as mint or excellent (there are one or two very minor marks on the front), it shows virtually no signs of wear. There are no tears, rips, creases, stains or bends to the sleeve. The spine and corners are undamaged and the white/cream colour shows no signs of age-related discolouration. A really crisp, clean example of the famous outer sleeve.
Similarly, the vinyl itself is in good condition. The album has been played, but there appears to be no scratches or surface problems with the vinyl record. I no longer own a turntable, so I cannot comment on how well it plays today. But it had very little play when new and has not been on a turntable for over 30 years. During that time, it has been stored in a safe, dry environment, protected by a plastic dust cover. I have no reason to believe there would be any problems with the playback of the record.
Run-out stamps - Side 1: "YAX 5063 - 4 BLAIR'S" - Side 2: "YAX 5064 5"
I have tried to give a fair appraisal of the condition of the record, and take good pictures to help with that, but I am not a dealer! But I can say that this is a very good, clean and little-used example of the album that is probably in much better condition that many others that are for sale.
Will be posted in a strong cardboard packet specifically designed to send 12" LPs by post.
Good luck if you decide to bid!
