Description
If you like strange private press outsider records like I do here’s a great one for your collection.
VG+ / VG+ appears to be dead stock. No splitting of cover. Vinyl has some light haze from pressing it does not affect play and has been VPI cleaned.
I’ll do my best to describe this here:
A strange sweet old lady from Tennessee decided to make a spiritual black power record of her own original compositions. She sings in a cute old lady high voice and accompanies herself with electric organ on one side and harp on the other. She is kind of inept singer in a Mrs. Miller sort of good way. The music is very minimal and basic and the singing is a gentle sung monologue. It’s like 60s black power poetry meets 60s early New Age music. I would definitely say this is more of a spiritual new age record than a black gospel record 100%. The lyrics are a spiritual metaphysical ode to being black. This is a total basement budget recording and mastering job. I have this record and both copies play with a bit of a Sun Records type hiss from cheap Acetate mastering and it probably being press cheap with recycled vinyl. No warp!
