READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality.
They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning. I can’t test-play at the minute.
Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.
So with that said…
Queen LP 1975 A Night at the Opera with RARE HYPE Sticker, First Pressing NM Vinyl!
The more common hype sticker from 1975 was white, with the album cover miniaturized. This is the rarer blue song title sticker! Try and find another one.
Vinyl--- NM/NM. Looks very close to unplayed.
Plates--- Beautiful Nov. 1975 plates. 7E-1053-A SP ESR TD 11-19-75/ 7E-1053-B SP ESR TD 11-19-75.
Cover--- Nice VG+. No split seams. Spine has a horizontal crack in the slick, but the spine is not split. Light ringwear on the front, moderate ringwear on the back. Full gloss, a few shallow digs.
Hype Sticker--- VG+. Has some fading around the edges, other than that, the sticker is 100% flat, no compromised edges!
Gatefold--- VG+. Light wear, full gloss. NO CENTER SEAM SPLITS.
Labels--- NM/NM. They look as fresh as they did when they were printed in 1975. NO SPINDLE MARKS.
Inner Sleeve--- Generic white.
CAUTION! There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids. A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.
Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!
(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
