Queen Rare US MFSL Half-Speed Master Audiophile LP A night at the opera EX ‘82
Rare US Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab, Half-Speed Master Audiophile LP released in 1982 on Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab Records. Cat: MFSL1-067. Comes in heavy weight gatefold sleeve. Also has original gatefold cardboard MFSL insert which is in Excellent condition. Queen were straining at the boundaries of hard rock and heavy metal on Sheer Heart Attack, but they broke down all the barricades on A Night at the Opera, a self-consciously ridiculous and overblown hard rock masterpiece. Using the multi-layered guitars of its predecessor as a foundation, A Night at the Opera encompasses metal ("Death on Two Legs," "Sweet Lady"), pop (the lovely, shimmering "You're My Best Friend"), campy British music hall ("Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon," "Seaside Rendezvous"), and mystical prog rock ("'39," "The Prophet's Song"), eventually bringing it all together on the pseudo-operatic "Bohemian Rhapsody."
Tracks : Death on two legs (Dedicated to…)/ Lazing on a Sunday afternoon/ I’m in love with my car/ You’re my best friend/ ’39/ Sweet lady/ Seaside rendezvous/ The prophet’s song/ Love of my life/ Good company/ Bohemian rhapsody/ God save the queen. There are a few of spindle marks and light age spots on labels. Record has a few light scuff marks that cause only a few light crackles and is in Excellent condition. Heavy weight gatefold sleeve has a few very tiny surface tears and age spot on top edge and there are also some light age spots on inner top edge, cover is in Excellent condition.
Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
