Description
96 Tears is the debut studio album by the American garage rock band. It was released on the Cameo Records label in 1966. These albums album peaked at #66 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums Chart. The title track went all the way to #1 on The Hot 100 Singles Chart in October 1966, prior to the release of the album. The albums second single “ I Need Somebody” also did well, peaking at #22. The electric organ featured on the album set the band apart from their garage rock contemporaries and made them sound a little more punk, and well, mysterious. Nice original mono copy from 1966 here.
