See PHOTOS Below.This first QUICKSILVER LP cover was designed by RICK GRIFFIN and manufactured with a very fragile red and gold "foil" ink graphic ...with the all-black "background" printed OVER the silver -a really nice look when new; but as we all know, it wears like crazy as soon as the shrink-wrap comes off.
This original foil-inked cover is still in it's shrink-wrap -as MINT as you could ever hope to find, without even the slightest ring impression. Nearly impossible to find.
The first -and hands-down, the best Quicksilver album; though the next LP would be mighty, mighty close. The double guitar front-line of JOHN CIPOLLINA and GARY DUNCAN emerged here fully mature and stunningly original. Cipollina's near-perfect, and not one inch overdone, effects-laden playing particularly, on "Gold and Silver" the 12 minute long album-closer "The Fool" is frequently used as the benchmark for all other psychedelic guitarists to measure by. Of course, this is also the LP that delivers "Pride Of Man" a monster hit for the band.
The LP is quaranteed 100% scratch, noise, distortion and Dino Valenti free.
