This auction is for the following rare Classical 12" LP:

WORK: SCHEHERAZADE

RECORD LABEL: DECCA UK, SXL 2086 - 1959

This pressing is the first pressing from 1959 with Wide Band Grooved label design bearing the 'Original Recording By' legend.

Original flipback cover and original c.1960 inner sleeve present.

The first copies of this LP had a blue border design to the reverse of the flipback sleeve - this is the slightly later type without the border but still in keeping with the 1960 release date.

The record, labels and inner sleeve are in at least EXCELLENT condition throughout and it is very clean in all areas - obviously very, very well cared for.  It was a joy to play and look over this item before listing it.  A superb example.  To be honest it is Near Mint - excellent would be being super conservative!  The cover is superb apart from an area on back of cover (bottom right) where portion of flipback has been repaired with sellotape.  Does not detract from an otherwise lovely sleeve.

The LP lists for £45 in the 2004 Rare Classical Record Price Guide (for mint/perfect) so maybe you could win this for a fraction of the real value!!

POSTAGE: £2.50 for 1st LP in UK plus £1 for each additional up to a maximum of £12.  Europe and ROW will be more but I am happy to post anywhere in the world at cost and I always get proof of posting.  I estimate that one LP to Europe will be £5.50 and one LP to USA or ROW would be £10.  I quote initially for standard Royal Mail delivery - if you require recorded delivery or any other special postal services, just ask and I will find out and invoice you accordingly.

I have never had a record go missing in the post but would endeavour to help as much as I can in the event of this taking place such as filling out appropriate claim forms.
