Description

Richard Strauss conducts the Berlin State Opera Orchestra in Beethoven Symphony 7 in A op 92 on 78rpm shellac made in Germany original first electrical issue by Poydor. Superb example of his great artistry as a conductor and also superb classical performance of the time. Note the blunted chords at beginning Movement I, totally unlike Toscanini. Records date from before 1930. Acquired from Kevork Marouchian in Munich and in exceptional condition. Scarce. 8 sides. 78 rating from A+ to C- = A to A+.
