Description
I will say upfront that I don't know anything about vinyl records, other than the music recorded on them. I am in process of selling and donating my collection of LP's from many years ago and noticed this set seems to be a desirable one. I've watched a few u-tube videos about grading and will do my best. I've looked at them under a very bright light. (Without the bright light, they look perfect.) If you have questions, please ask. And if you buy this set and feel I've made a mistake, I'll be more than willing to work with you and/or accept a return.
The box has very slight storage wear on the corners...no damage. I would say its EX(+). The inner sleeves are NM. Each side of each record is listed below: Sides 1, 2, 7, 8 = EX (very slight spindle wear) I see no scratches or scuffs, light or otherwise, on the vinyl. Side 3 = several light scratches, ranging from about 1/2" to 2" -- I am quite sure these do not affect play. Also, there are a couple of pin-size spots that are not dust, but rather seem to be a lack of color in the vinyl. They do not appear to be pits. Again, nearly unnoticeable spindle marks. VG Side 7=A "scuff" line...not a scratch...again, almost looks like a manufacturing variation??? (or, can sliding them into the sleeves mark them?) EX Sides 4&5 = 2-3 nearly invisible scratches on each side VG+
Original booklet: This is the only part that has visible damage. The lower front corner got folded up diagonally (about 2 1/2" fold) which tore a 1/2" slice at the end of the fold. Sad.
