This RAGTIME RAZZMATAZZ will show you that. And it doesn’t come easy, such recording expertise.
Fact is, seven different mic patterns were tested, each recording monitored through a WAMM system until -- voila! -- one captured every nuance of the “live” experience. So prepare yourself for twelve very fine examples of how to record a grand, upright piano, this being the "Mighty Kroeger" built in 1918.
To-die-for, the sound here is quite extraordinary, as Mark Wetch delivers THAT’S MY MAMMY, DILL PICKLES, MANDY’S RAGTIME WALTZ, LAST NIGHT ON THE BACK PORCH, SWEET GEORGIA BROWN, I WONDER WHO’S KISSING HER NOW, MY PONY BOY, SO BLUE, RAGTIME RAZZMATAZZ, and a finale of WHISTLING RUFUS, that will take you away.
(A record, by the way, so well mastered and cut, David Wilson uses the platter to fine-tune cartridge-arm setups.)
A classic audiophile release, in a jacket like new, record plays near mint and better, showing very little sign of play.
Absolutely, positively not to be missed. Extraordinary!

Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $5, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
