Rainbow - Rainbow Rising & Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow - 2x Albums in 1 Gatefold
The first and second classic Rainbow albums, combined in a single gatefold. Essentially the two original covers, joined by the spine. The discs themselves were the original issues, from unsold stock, not reissues. Very rare in this format.

Matrix Numbers: (Disc 1): 249 0137 A2 / B3
(Disc 2): 249 0141 A2 / B2
(There are two sets of matrix numbers on each side of each disc - the Oyster numbers are hand etched, while the Polydor numbers (see above) are stamped.
From a combined private collection - I've recently inherited a couple of record collections to add to my own and I'm now sorting through and selling off any duplicates, plus those which I probably won't ever get around to playing. ALL the records have been carefully stored, rarely played and in most cases, owned by one person for at least 20 years. Some light cleaning of the media may be required, although in most cases this won't be necessary.
Condition:
PLEASE NOTE: I have collected records for many years (30+) but I appreciate that even with established grading systems, condition is often subjective. I try to be as fair as possible, but if you have any specific questions or concerns, please feel free to ask me before you commit to a purchase!
COVER = VG
Light corner wear and the odd minor crease or tiny edge scuff. In good shape for a non laminated cover of this age - see photos.
DISC = EX-
Glossy, deep black vinyl with only the very faintest of slide wisps visible under direct light. Clean labels with only very light spindle marks. Excellent playback with no loud pops or jumps. Some typical light background noise present at start and periodically between tracks.
INNER SLEEVES = VG
Paper / poly lined inners. Some light creasing and some very minor signs of wear.
NO MOULD!
Postage and Packaging:
Higher value records (£20 +) will be sent via 1st Class Signed For, at no additional cost. Records sold below £20 will be sent via 2nd Class Signed for.
I will pack the record carefully in a mailer and use additional card to stiffen the parcel. The disc itself will be sandwiched in the middle of the gatefold, where possible.
If you wish to collect in person and inspect / test the record, you are more than welcome.
