RAINBOW Rising RAREST OZ Record Club LP Blackmore DIO
You are bidding on the following item.
Quite possibly one of the rarest if not the rarest ever release of the Rainbow Rising LP. This particular LP was issued here in Australia by the World Record Club and it was obviously licensed from Phonogram at the time. The front cover shows the World Record Club logo, the back cover states ‘A Mercury recording, released for its members in Australia by World Record Club’ and it has the catalogue number printed on the back and spine as W.R.C. – R90166. The label although a standard Polydor / Oyster one it carries the same catalogue number R-90166. Seriously this is RARE!! We have probably seen over a million records pass through our hands over 50 years of collective searching and this is seriously the first time we have EVER seen this lp. The cover has 2 x 2 inch tape repaired seam splits and minor ring wear and it is in VG+ condition, the record and labels are like new. They are both near mint. Quite seriously this could be your only chance to own this item. Kept in storage in smoke free environment for several years.
