I RECENTLY PURCHASED THE RECORD COLLECTION BELONGING TO A GIRL WHO HUNG OUT AND MANAGED A BAND AT CBGB's IN NEW YORK DURING THE LATE 1970S / VERY EARLY 1980s HEYDAY. THE COLLECTION INCLUDES SOME VERY RARE INDEPENDENT LABEL 45s, EPs, AND LPs CONTAINING THE EARLIEST RECORDED MATERIAL FROM ALT-ROCK AND PUNK ARTISTS WHO LATER BECAME FAMOUS (OR INFAMOUS!!) AND FROM SOME VERY OBSCURE EARLY ALT-ROCK AND PUNK ARTISTS, AS WELL AS SOME EARLY UK 'NEW WAVE' SINGLES AND ALBUMS, SOME ON COLORED VINYL. I AM NOW FINISHED LISTING ALL OF THE U.S. INDIE LABEL 45s, AND I WILL CONTINUE NEXT WITH A WEEK'S WORTH OF RARE UK AND EURO 45s. This is an ORIGINAL 1978 FRENCH PRESS SIRE / PATHE MARCONI EMI RECORDS 45 titled 'I'm Against It'/'Needles And Pins' from legendary pioneering punk band the Ramones. It is Sire / Pathe Marconi EMI Records France catalog number HC 2C 008-62.042 and appears to be a RARE ITEM which has not been offered on eBay during the past month as far as I can tell. RECORD COMES PACKAGED IN ITS ORIGINAL PICTURE SLEEVE. Picture sleeve has a purple-toned photo of the band sitting on the front stoop of a brick building on the front, with the inscription 'Extraits de l'album 'Road To Ruin' 2C 068-61656' at the bottom left corner. Back of the sleeve has nothing except the Pathe Marconi EMI logo and the 1978 release date. Condition of record is a SOLID NM with no visible surface marks; record has a couple of small bumps in the vinyl which are a very slight pressing defect and which do not affect play at all. Condition of picture sleeve is VG+ with a couple of very light stains, a few slight wrinkles, a little contact wear, some ring wear (mostly on the back of the sleeve), and a little wear along the edges and on the corners. A super-rare item from the early days of punk that belonged to a person who was there at the beginning! Winning bidder pays $3.25 insured first class mail postage or actual insured priority mail postage within the U.S. E-mail me for shipping charges outside the U.S. Personal checks must clear. I now accept payment via PayPal. WINNING BIDDER PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH - IT PROBABLY WILL NOT GET HERE! I will give an immediatre refund (less shipping) upon return of the 45 if winning bidder is dissatisfied for any reason. Good luck!
