RANDY - s/t LP BLACK

RANDY was a heavy metal band formed 1981 in Randers, Denmark, when two old Randers bands had split ('Bullerband' and 'Jet'). They started under the name 'Grandy', by members:

Jan Buller Jensen - Lead Guitar,

Jørgen Viftrup Hou - Lead Guitar / Vocals,

Jim Bjerregaard Jensen - Bass,

Brian Andersen - Rhythm Guitar and

Torben Pape - Drums

Jan Buller Jensen in 1982 quit the band and create a new band named Mirage. The other four members of Grandy changed the name of the band to 'Randy'. Jim later quit the band and Brian Andersen took the Bass.

In 1986, Randy released their debut; a 7" single entitled Shadows Are Falling. It wast mostly sold locally but also around Europe, among others in Greece where it still has a steady fan club! The band also released a 7-track demo in 1987. It was around 1990 when Torben stopped playing drums and quit Randy, Søren Ahlgreen replaced him on drums.

After few years Torben returned to Randy as a Rhythm Guitar player and the band renamed to 'SLIP and SLIDE'.

Today Søren (Drums) and Torben (Guitar, Vocals) plays together in the band 'Blueshot'.
