Description
For auction is the RANDY WESTON TRIO & the LEM WINCHESTER QUARTET: "New Faces at Newport," on Metrojazz E1005, MONO, DG, 1958.
SOUND: VG+/NM
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. The playback is excellent! Very clean live recording, with rare instances of a faint tic here or there. Overall lovely listening!
VINYL: VG+/NM
Side A has a number of tiny smudges or scuffs, viewable under bright light. These are completely superficial. Otherwise, looking clean and in excellent condition. Side B has no flaws worth mentioning. Labels are deep-grooved red Metrojazz, clean and great condition, with a few spindle marks.
JACKET: NM
The spine and edges all around are solid and in very nice condition. The corners too, are very nice. Both front and back covers are very clean and unmarked, with very minimal wear of any kind.
The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.
A beautiful record in 3 phases: jacket/vinyl/playback. No reserve, bidding starts at $12.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material. Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
