1930s Sons Of The Pioneers Radio Transcription Discs This auction is for twelve 12" discs

These are 33 & 1/3 RPM Radio Transcription Discs They were produced between 1934 and 1936. These are from the first three recording sessions the Sons of The Pioneers did for Standard Radio. It was these recordings that introduced the Sons to a national audience. You can see a list of all the transcription songs HERE but you'll have to do some cypherin to see which of the songs are on the discs in this listing.
This lot contains the following discs:

J/K
L/M
S/T
U/V
W/X
Y/Z
CC/DD
EE/FF
EE/F
NN/OO
TT/UU
The disc that has EE on one side and F on the other, contains the same songs on the EE side as the EE/FF disc. The EE/F disc is much heavier vinyl than the others. A couple of the discs (NN/OO TT/UU) are dark blue opaque vinyl.
Interestingly the labels all say they were produced by the Standard Radio Advertising Co. Most references to this company refer to them as Standard Radio Transcription Service or simply Standard Radio.
The condition is pretty good. I'm not a record grading expert, but I think you'll find most sides will make Goldmine VG to VG+. The luster is still pretty good, but you will find some scratches here and there. I tried to take some pictures showing the condition accurately, but they all came out making the discs look perfect, and they are not perfect. The sleeves are all heavy paper, and some have notations on them. A few of the sleeves have seam splits.
All the discs are INSIDE START, so they may (or may not) require a special player. Since I don't have a turntable to play these on, I am offering them "AS-IS", as described herein. I cannot guarantee them for playability on your system, nor do I offer any guarantees of the condition. If you are looking for perfect discs to play on your home stereo, these are probably not for you. I'm assuming the buyer of these knows fully what they are and has the proper equipment to play them. If you are unsure, please do your homework and ask questions. I'll try to help if I can.
