Description
RARE 1957 SUN Records 78 Carl Perkins Your True Love / Matchbox MEMPHIS #261. It's in very nice condition. I don't know anything about grading. The record has some scuffs and minor scratches, but no deep gouges. It sounds great and you can judge for yourself. Both sides are on YouTube!

I took this record over to a local vintage music shop that created the YouTube videos. Here is what the owner said about the song "Your True Love". "This was intentionally released much too slow so when played back at 78 rpm, it sounds a lot like the Chipmunks. This recording was played at a slower speed and Carl Perkins sounds more like himself. Apparently, the sound folks wanted to pep up the song so they sped up the tape used to make the masters. That actually sounded kind of horrible, this speed sounds much better." As I understand it, the 45 was also released at this incorrect speed, but it was fixed in later releases.
