Description

Here is quite possibly the nicest 1958 Carl Perkins Sun EP-115 you will ever see.  It is absolutely stunning!  Please check out the close-up photos I provided for both sides of the cover and record.  This is Perkins only EP on Sun and is considered ultra-rare in any condition.  It is the "Holy Grail" of Sun EPs.  I have never seen another example better than this one.  I would grade it a strong Near Mint.  All 4 corners of the cardboard sleeve are sharp and crisp.  No writing, stickers, etc.  Front of the cover has a high shiny gloss.  Beautiful.  Back cover shows just a touch of surface wear, but that is minimal.  Both record labels are bright yellow with no marks anywhere.  No paint flakes or chips in the inner circle of the label as it appears it has never seen a turntable.  Vinyl on the "Blue Suede Shoes/Movie Magg" side looks near flawless.  The "Sure to Fall/Gone Gone Gone" side has just a tiny hint of a light surface scratch.  Have to look hard to see anything at all.  Both sides are shiny, glossy, and amazing.  You will not be disappointed with this rare EP.  As close to perfect as you can get.  I guarantee you will never see a nicer example.  The 2010 Goldmine price guide lists this EP at $800 in NM condition.  I am starting the opening bid well below book value with no reserve.  Don't miss out!  Please check out my other auctions as well.  Thanks and good luck!
