Description
There is what appears to be a Marilyn Monroe signature on the back cover near the bottom left corner. The signature is in thick pencil and according to other examples of her signatures online, it appears to be period to the release of this album. Unfortunately I cannot 100 percent verify that this is an authentic signature, I found this album hidden away in a thrift store bin. I also cannot verify that this signature is not authentic as it does appear similar to many of her signatures found online. Buy at your own risk and the best of luck to whomever claims it.
As for the album itself, a semi-sought after LP featuring the soundtrack to one of Marilyn Monroe's most famous appearances on the silver screen. It is a 1959 first pressing in mono on United Artists. Both the disc and cover are in very clean shape, front laminated cover is solid with no seam splits and a fully legible spine. Some corner wear and slight ring wear present on back cover. Disc presents well and looks like it would play without significant playback issues. Overall, solid set and the signature if proven authentic could make this a one of a kind piece of history. Happy bidding. Happy to answer any questions.
Shipped free of charge to buyer with USPS Media Mail. If requested, I can also offer USPS Priority for quicker delivery / more safe transit at a $15 dollar cost.
