Description

The great baritone saxophonist SERGE CHALOFF issued BLUE SERGE in 1956. It was issued as Capitol 742; this is the 1959 MONO issue on the black label with the Capitol logo on the left side. SERGE is backed by pianist SONNY CLARK, drummer JOE JONES and bassist LEROY VINNEGAR. 7 lengthy cuts include STAIRWAY TO THE STARS, SUSIE'S BLUES, I'VE GOT THE WORLD ON A STRING, THE GOOF AND I, THANKS FOR THE MEMORY and A HANDFUL OF STARS. Jacket has light seam and ring wear, is otherwise in excellent condition; the VINYL is in NEAR MINT CONDITION. Buyer pays $6 shipping if mailed to US; non-US buyers pay actual shipping plus $3 handling. Buyer assumes all responsibility for uninsured purchases.
