A MEGA RARE box set from my collection is up for sale: Chicago Blues legend Big Bill Broonzy's 5 disc box set album "The Bill Broonzy Story", released in 1961 by Verve MG-V 3000-5, has heavy vinyl with 1960's style black and silver labels, still has vintage price sticker on cover. Music features an interview with Bill while playing his acoustic guitar. He tells his story with words and song, talks in detail about the history of the Blues, his own humble beginnings with legends like Leadbelly, great listen!
All of the discs are super glossy and clean, no signs of heavy play. Two of the vinyl records rate NEAR MINT, look rarely played! Two of the discs rate VG+, have just a few light marks, disc V rates VG, has one small but heavy feel-able needle mark in song #1 that causes a few quick jumps (no repeating). The other four discs play with very good audio quality, clear sound with some light surface noise, album is a very enjoyable listen!
The 2 piece cover rates VG+, has bright front portrait artwork with no ring wear, print on binder edge is EX and readable, top section had corner splits neatly re-glued, bottom section has no corner splits, inside box has light age discoloration, edges have a bit of fraying to the black paper in some spots.
