ONE OF HIS EARLIEST RECORDINGS
Very rare and highly collectible 1962 George Records # 45-7780 Promotional 45 RPM "You're Much Too Lovely To Cry" w/ "I Still Love You" by The Newton Brothers featuring a very young Wayne Newton.
The Newton Brothers ( Wayne and his older brother) recorded with George Records ( a small label) from 1959 - 62 ( pre-Capitol Records for Wayne as a solo artist) until Wayne went out on his own ending the duo's act.
Early recordings of the Newton Brothers on George Records are extremely hard to find and are highly collectible besides being Wayne Newton's highest BV records in Goldmine. This a Promo and was not released to the general public.
Vinyl is in Excellent Condition, plays very well with no skips or pops or any surface noise though there are a few small hairline scratches on both sides but they don't affect the sound or play, both sides still have a nice shine to them.
Both sides still sound terrific and both sides are catchy in a early 1960s style. A very nice Wayne Newton single.
The "I Still Love You" side has two small Xs drawn on it's label probably to indicate the single side for airplay. Good luck and thanks for looking.
