Description

Excellent 1965 one-sided Rock 4-Song, Unreleased 10", 33 1/3 Metal/Acetate by THE ALIENS on Golden State Records. The acetate features the songs "Wild Love (awesome!)," "Come Near (great rave-up guitar break!)," "Love," and "You Did Me Wrong." It's in solid VG shape except for a small chip in the coating at the beginning of the 4th song (see second picture).   THE ALIENS has a very limited quantity 45 release on the Stilt label, which was started by NBA basketball legend Wilt Chamberlain circa 1964. They were one of the first – if not THE first – acts signed to the label. They were also one of the first rock bands in the California Bay Area to incorporate a Latin sound, and as such, preceded – and probably influenced – Carlos Santana by a few years. In fact, Jose Chipito Areas started in THE ALIENS, before leaving the band to record the first Santana album! (LISTEN TO AN ACTUAL SOUND CLIP OF ALL FOUR TUNES!). Winning bidder to add $3.50 postage in the USA. Good luck - check out my other auctions for more vintage records for sale and save on combined postage costs!
