REALLY RARE ...Original 1965 first pressing by a rather unknown garage band, but nonetheless with an infectious tight British Invasion inspired beatrocking sound all structured with cool reverb guitar...very British in delivery... Comprised of Allan Nichols (vocals), Bill Hill (lead guitar), Doug West (drums) , Andy "Yugo" Kaye [aka Andurash Kajachanei] (guitar), Lou Atkins [aka Louis Yachnin] (bass), J. B. & The Playboys released a self-titled debut album in 1965, but then changed their name to the Jaybees and recorded several (cool & collected garage) singles from 1965 to 1967.
In 1965 J. B. & The Playboys had been signed to RCA Records and released the song "Don't Ask Me To Be True". A string of successful singles followed on the charts through the spring of 1965 after which the band headed into RCA Studios to record the remaining tracks for their self-titled debut LP which was released in the summer of 1965. During that same summer they starred in the movie Movie production of Maxwell Sendel's 'Playgirl Killer'

CONDITION: The cover is very thick -- just like the old 60's garage albums VG++ with only very small shelf wear starting, minor. The seams are strong, looks as collectible as it is...
The vinyl is all glossy on both sides having only a few light superficial hairlines, minor scuffs, VG+ to VG++ nothing much 'cause the deep groove pressing plays excellent, enjoyable...
