Description
Here is a MEGA RARE collectable R&B lp from my collection offered up for sale: Wilbert Harrison's first LP, this is an original 1965 early 1st pressing released by Sphere Sound Records 7000 (MONO), on heavy vinyl with orange labels, plays excellent! Music features original hit song "Kansas City", recorded in 1959. This was one of Lieber and Stoller's FIRST #1 penned hits, plus "CC Rider", great album! These originals are getting SCARCE!
The vinyl rates EX, is clean and glossy, side two has only a couple small faint marks, side one has a few more light marks, has one small more moderate mark at the lead in edge on side one, has been PLAY TESTED. Plays excellent from start to finish, deep clear sound with only a couple light pops at lead in, no skips or jumps, minimal surface noise, a very enjoyable listen!
The cover rates VG+, is clean and bright, has only light handling wear/ring wear, has a few tiny age related spots/wear to the paper at seams and at opening edge, a couple corners have bumps/rubs, a partial split at top open was neatly re-glued, no tape, binder edge is still readable, back is clean with great portrait of Wilbert, has a faint water mark at bottom, no signatures or writing, has been a well cared for 54 year old album, hard to find! Will be shipped in a plastic sleeve in a record box with tracking. Vinyl will be shipped in paper inner sleeve outside cover to prevent splits.
