We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Rare Original 1966 first pressing in bold MONO of a terrific rock band from North America ...the French vocals do not distract rather only add to the flavor especially in this case - and the voice and playing is outstanding:::: the tracks all highly infectious melodies ...the album holds a lot of pleasant surprises, getting even stronger with repeat plays...
The original line up consisted of guitarists Andre Dion, Giles Henry, Claude Reid and Marcel Richard, but by 1963 the group had expanded to include former Les Majestics singer Bruce Huard. Like thousands of other groups, by 1964 the group had fallen under the spell of The Beatles. Dropping their old name, they reworked their catalog into a more-rock oriented focus and reappeared as Les Sultans. Incidentally Bruce Huard has a tremendous voice and could have easily been a major star with THAT voice!
Signed by Teledisc Records, 1966 found the group finally given a chance to record an album. Produced by Denis Pantis, in spite of the fact all twelve songs were sung in French, the cleverly titled 'Les Sultans" was nothing short of spectacular. Showcasing a largely original set, the album featured a great mix of catchy, jangle 12-string derrived Byrds-like rock ('La Poupée Que Fait Non' and ''Je T'aime Bien') and tougher fuzz-propelled rockers ('Tu es Impossible' and ''C'est promis). Bruce Huard has a fantastic voice that is more than capable of handling the entire spectrum of material in their diverse repetoire and the rest of the band played with an intensity that you simply don't hear very often. Highlights included their two Zombies covers ('You Make Me Feel Good' and 'Leave Me Be'). Curiously both tracks are credited as Sultans compositions, as is a Kinks cover ('Nothin' In The World Can Stop Me Worryin' 'Bout The Girl'). The rest of the album is filled with original tracks that are just as good as the three covers, or better -- with infectious melodies and that great voice!One of the great underestimated garage-rock bands of the sixties ...if these guys had been from the US, they surely would have become major stars.

This copy is a very collectible 55 year old first issue, one that even the mint guys should be able to accept given the age. No seam splits, no bends and no writing, retaining the bright colors as in the original release.
- The vinyl: Rated: both sides are clean & glossy, rated near M- with excellent-enjoyable audio. The MONO 'Teldec' labels are clean.
