Really RARE...harder to find like this than you might imagine...for export, here is a clean M- ORIGINAL BRITISH FIRST PRESSING still in factory shrink wrap and includes the original Columbia Records nner sleeve....
Moby Grape's rock of ages "WOW" featured Don Stevenson (drums) and Jerry Miller (guitarist No. 1) backing monster voice/songwriter Bob Mosley (bass) and Loretta Young's son of a Byrds disciple Peter Lewis (guitar No. 2), who all bowed to the group's Syd Barrett/Roky Erickson type guru, Alexander "Skip" Spence.
Wow opener "The Place and the Time" starts out quite right from the get-go, and "Murder in My Heart for the Judge" grabs ahold as a song once heard never forgotten. Mosley's gorgeous "Bitter Wind," Miller/Stevenson's stomping "Can't Be So Bad," and Lewis' gentle "He" swaddle Skip Spence's driving open throttle classic, "Motorcycle Irene" ... "Skippy got messed up right off the bat [in NYC]," states guitarist Jerry Miller. "He was never the same again. It wasn't the same for any of us."
Moby Grape were one of the Acid Rock bands from the 60s San Francisco scene. Skip Spence originally had been the drummer on the first Jefferson Airplane record. But his preferred instrument was always the guitar, and he formed Moby Grape delivering his best... every drop of Moby Grape "WOW" is precious...

CONDITION: In all around 'solid' fragile laminated UK cover ...front cover is M- with just a trace (very very little at all) of clear tape that was removed along the pocket opening which held tightly the original shrink wrap (it was not necessary to be there) and represents a GREAT uniquely rare keeper copy. The spine and seams are strong, no problems, no delete marks. M-
The vinyl is all smoooth glossy "EX" (excellent) to M- ...plays tops
