VERVE RECORDS - 1968 ! ORIGINAL ! - RARE STOCK COPY ( the promo is more common ) - the b side JELLY ROLL GUM DROP is a unique MONO MIX and a few seconds longer than the album version . only true mono mix too .
according to the net :
Side A in Stereo, and has the normal album version of "Deseri".
Side B has a unique Mono mix, which is about 4 seconds longer and has much louder guitar and background vocals.
(The 2:17 timing on the label is incorrect, since it represents the length of the album track)
UK 'Mono' pressing ( of the LP ) was just a Stereo fold-down, so Side B of this single has the only "real" Mono mix
record is a nice VG ( pretty decent shape overall with a few light lines/marks/light scratches , a very few of which are slightly feelable with the edge of a fingernail . ALSO , has a slightly hazey look to the b side . does not effect playback . i played both sides , and it played very well , with some minor surface static/noise , very low in the mix , and with a few , minor ticks . still an enjoyable listen , in my opinion . NO skips on my turntable with lightweight tonearm and light tracking force . )
