PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING: USA ~ 1 LP $4.00 Media; 2-4 discs $5.00; .50 each additional disc Priority rates vary by area; please inquire. RARE 1972 UK Prog Blues Gem In ROUND GIMMIX GATEFOLD COVER!
The MICK ABRAHAMS BAND
AT LAST
\ UK - Crysalis - CHR 1005
RARE...seldom seen original 1972 first pressing British blues rocker crew...housed in fabulous round custom design, somewhat similar to the Small Faces "Ogden's Nutgone" Lp ... for whatever reason, this cover is hardly ever seen, especially without the hinges being broken on the fragile circular design
The Mick Abrahams was the original guitarist for Jethro Tull's 1st LP "This Was" and fronted the mighty BLODWYN PIG ...his scarce UK-only release "AT LAST" is in a specially designed round gatefold cover that opens up from the middle...very nice and creative look, this is.
At Last is the second album that Mick did - in 1972, after leaving Blodwyn Pig, and the last he would release until All Said And Done some 20 years later. Mick is best known as the original guitarist of Jethro Tull, but his work on albums such as Blodwyn Pig & his Abrahams band after leaving Jethro Tull are well worth the hunt. The group consists of Mick (guitar, vocals), Bob Sargeant (keyboards, vocals), Jack Lancaster (woodwinds), Ritchie Dharma (drums), and Walt Monoghan (bass guitar). With the exception of Jack Lancaster(Blodwyn Pig), this is the same lineup that played on the first Mick Abrahams album.
The style is Progressive blues rock with complex/jazz interplays. "When I Get Back", and "Absent Friends" along with "Maybe Because", which contains a nice jam in the middle, are among the strongest tracks. This album is for those who enjoy This Was from Jethro Tull and the Blodwyn Pig albums, only this one...is by far harder to find than those titles....
- When I Get Back
Absent Friends
Time Now To Decide
Whole Wide World
Up And Down, Part 1
Up and Down, Part 2
Maybe Because
The Good Old Days
You'll Never Get It From Me
CONDITION: The Cover: is a specially designed gimmix cover that opens from the middle, very hard to find clean and in working order because of it's a fragile UK production. This cover (overall near "EX" (excellent) is pretty nice and clean on front & back and the hinges on the open up flaps are not torn, rather still working fine! ...do handle very carefully....
The Vinyl: is all glossy on both sides, "EX" (excellent) plays clean, audio fantastic ... with clean labels...grab if interested as 40 years onward, it is only getting rarer by the day....
A cool addition to anyone's music library!
SEE: SELLERS OTher items for similar cool sounds for "head" people...
