....................................................................................................................................................................................
Seldom seen original 1972 first pressing British blues rocker crew...housed in fabulous round custom design, somewhat similar to the Small Faces "Ogden's Nutgone" Lp ... for whatever reason, this issue is hardly ever seen, especially without the hinges being broken , or bends & tears or all three on the fragile circular design ... here is a collectible survivor!
The Mick Abrahams was the original guitarist for Jethro Tull's 1st LP "This Was" and fronted the mighty BLODWYN PIG ...his scarce UK-only release "AT LAST" is in a specially designed round gatefold cover that opens up from the middle...very nice and creative look.
At Last is the second album that Mick did - in 1972, after leaving Blodwyn Pig, and the last he would release until All Said And Done some 20 years later. Mick is best known as the original guitarist of Jethro Tull, but his work on albums such as Blodwyn Pig & his Abrahams band after leaving Jethro Tull are well worth the hunt. The group consists of Mick (guitar, vocals), Bob Sargeant (keyboards, vocals), Jack Lancaster (woodwinds), Ritchie Dharma (drums), and Walt Monoghan (bass guitar). With the exception of Jack Lancaster(Blodwyn Pig), this is the same lineup that played on the first Mick Abrahams album.
The style is Progressive blues rock with complex/jazz interplays. "When I Get Back", and "Absent Friends" along with "Maybe Because", which contains a nice jam in the middle, are among the strongest tracks. This album is for those who enjoy This Was from Jethro Tull and the Blodwyn Pig albums, only this one...is by far harder to find than those titles....

CONDITION: rated: near "EX" (excellent) downgraded slightly for only very small wear at top center (hardly anything can't imagine anyone interested would be disappointed; you never know as a seller w/ the equation of expectations, 99.999%+ are fine, while a mere fraction can be real stinkers - no matter for what, bad day, jealousy - ?who knows?... so we are seriously thinking about exposing a (very) small few of these types (read: eBay ID's) in compiling a "bozo list" to post - on eBay- if only to alert other sellers to block such bogus bidders.)...anyway, good luck finding a better copy of this seldom seen relic from 46 years past. It's the best copy we've seen in well over a year! The specially designed circular gimmix cover opens from the middle, and is very hard to find clean in working order without tears to the fragile hinges -- a very fragile UK production. Front & back hinges on the open up flaps are not torn, rather working properly ...but do handle very carefully....
The Vinyl: is all glossy on both sides, M- TOP COPY and so plays mint clean, audio fantastic ... with clean labels...grab if interested as 46+ years onward, it is only getting more scarce by the day
A cool addition to anyone's music library!
