We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Very rare BRITISH 1973 (((original))) obscurity ~
Note: this copy is complete (in tact) with the custom designed *flicker* lips disc as pictured.
The album is hard to find in any condition, but, for some reason, it was hard to control many teens ripping off the *flicker* lips, most copies luckily found are missing these tantalizing lips!
As you see, they are still here ....
This early '70s British rock band were notable mainly for the presence of bass guitarist Dennis Cowan, who arrived fresh from the dissolution of Bonzo Dog Band and went on thereafter to end up in the original band for The Rocky Horror Show. Darien Spirit were a brief, bright sparks in the Paper Bubble, Hunter Muskett style of melancholy of typically 'English' surreal rock, combining lovely haunting earnest songs faultlessly executed with guitars, bass, drums, piano and some lovely atmospheric swirling strings. Leaving behind this one and only criminally ignored album, Elegy To Marilyn.
It is said, only the very first UK pressings of the album came with gimmick 3D changing plastic lips stuck on a picture of Marilyn Monro's mouth. Without the lips there is No mouth giving the more common 'mouthless' covers a rather odd blank look in which most surviving copies have.
Of the band members, only Cowan and percussionist Frank Riccotti continued to be visible in the music business. Other band members Alan Waterson, Jack McAllister and Harry MacDonald vanished into obscurity.

CONDITION: The cover: Rated: "EX" (excellent) laminated dark cover with legendary Marylin Monroe gimmix *flicker* lips, in tact! Only light previous use, still very strong collectible visuals. The seams are solid, no seam splits, no faded colors, no bends, no writing ...
The vinyl: Rated: VG++ few minor scuffs, nothing disturbing to the excellent audio. Overall full of bright shine and played very enjoyable here. Both "Mad Hatter" Charisma labels are in solid shape, no writing or dirt/soil
