Description: Up for your consideration is the next in a series of unique Lps, this one featuring Oscars Motettkor, Torsten Nilsson, korledare. It also features Alf Linder, orgel, and Marianne Mellnas, sang.

Internet research showed, in part:
"Swedish label Proprius released the original Cantate Domino long-playing record in 1976 to a dazed audiophile community. No one before it has ever captured the nuances and power of the choir and pipe organ so masterfully, and no audiophile has ever experienced such level of sonic potency in his own system before it. For the first time, our living room-friendly loudspeakers notwithstanding, we started to wonder if only the very largest loudspeaker could truthfully reproduce every bit of potential of the Proprius LP, and if we could ever experience such sound in our own home. ... The demand for the LP was staggering, and not every audiophile who had the disposable income could acquire one. Then, the worse happened, as it was soon priced out of reach for many of its admirers. ..."

Several unique things about this item: Firstly, this disc retains the original shine with no visible imperfections other than maybe a slight sleeve mark grading by sight in normal room light. I'm sure if you took this and put it under a 1000 watt bulb, you'd probably find something that makes it less than mint. If you're that kind of collector, let me suggest this auction is not for you.

I don't claim this record is mint. Based on past experience and visual examination, I'd expect the tracks to audibly average at least half way between VG+(excellent) and Near Mint. If you want an audio grade of an entire record, no problem, just drop me a note well in advance of the end of auction. You can then assign your own grade based on my comments on what I heard and the GRADING SCALE BELOW!.

Keep in mind how it plays for me may differ how it plays for you based on differences in audio equipment.

Secondly, this is the more sought after white cover. I'm not sure why that is, but the white cover edition has recently sold for over $100 several times on e-bay.

Thirdly, this auction comes with two inserts. One is 4 pages describing the tracks, personnel and equipment. The other is 1 page summation of the disc put forth by Audiosource, the distributor of this disc (see scans).

I am using the Goldmine scale of G=Good(1), VG = Very Good(2), VG+ = Very Good Plus(excellent)(3), NM = Near Mint(4) when grading the disc(s).

Here is a summary of the record(s):

Additional criteria I use when audibly grading records for people:

• NM(4) = absolutely nothing wrong at all (very rarely happens--I've even opened sealed records and they don't play Near Mint)
• 3.5-3.9 = very, very light surface noise
• 3.1-3.4 = very light surface noise, very light pops
• VG+(3) = up to light pops and light surface noise (below this, one's enjoyment is affected, very subjective)
• VG(2) = up to medium pops and moderate surface noise
• G(1) = up to heavy pops and heavy surface noise

I normally ship a single record in a standard 12.5 x 12.5 x 1 record mailer. Weight with box is 1 pound 1 ounces. Shipping is $3.09 Media Rate (1-2 pounds) + $1.20 box/tape/pack = $4.29.
Alternatively, I can ship in a 14 x 14 x 6" box. Weight with box is about 1 pound 9 oz. Shipping is $3.09 Media Rate (1-2 pounds) + $1.70 box/tape/packing = $4.79.
