Description
Fistful Of Metal was the 1st album by Anthrax. Recorded in 1983, released early '84: and may be the only one that never got any big, corporate marketing & distribution. When the group was signed to the indie label Megaforce Records, they still had their original singer Neil Turbin and they made this album with him. Then that was it for Neil and Anthrax. This is also the only album they ever made with founding member Dan Lilker, the bassist ~ then he got fired. It catches a line-up of a band that got a record deal while not really being all that in-line at the time. This is the First Pressing of the first album, from the very first time Anthrax ever hit the record stores. The jacket is in Excellent condition and the vinyl is such a high Excellent I could almost call it Near Mint but I'm a little afraid to.

I bought this album in New Dorp, they call the neighborhood; at an old, tiny little storefront of a Staten Island record store that was tucked into a shopping center out on Hylan Boulevard. And obviously if I had it to do all over again I wouldn't have bought just the one! There were several of 'em sittin' there. It was a brand new album at the time. When I close my eyes I can almost see them in the rack, still sealed, all beautiful, new and shiny. What a travesty. I wonder what happened to those other ones from that basketful of puppies. I'm glad I at least saved this one historical record, though! Wow. But still, now it's someone else's turn to become her caretaker. At this price I am pretty sure you guys love MEGAFORCE RECORDS - that's also pretty obvious...and nice to see.price rating
