Yes...this IS the ULTRA RARE Widespread Panic 45 RPM record that started it all!
We are the original owners and we have never played this record! It may need a cleaning from the years in storage, but it is perfect!
All About This Record:
- Known to all that only 500 of these records were ever produced.
- In its original white paper sleeve, the paper shows a little fold, but no tears.
- The 45 RPM vinyl "Coconut Image" / "Monkey Image" was recorded on February 9, 1986 in Arnoldsville, GA, not long before the official Panic gigs whose 25th anniversary marked a year long celebration in 2011.
- Better known to fans as “Coconut” and “Sleepy Monkey”, they are two of the most beloved songs in the repertoire. And for good reason… even on the early recording “Coconut” leaps up with an unbridled joy and Houser’s intricate guitar lines on “Sleepy Monkey” sound pristine and clear.
- Also of note, this is a quartet performing on these sides, but not the “original quartet”. Todd Nance was not present for these sessions, so JB, Mikey and Dave were joined by Joel Morris on drums.

Obviously, we only want the serious collectors and will answer any and all questions that we possibly can. This record is rare, but we need to move some of our collectibles for personal reasons.
