RARE 50s Roger Albin Evolution of the Cello French LP
This is a vintage 33 rpm 12" record on the French "Club National du Disque" label, catalog number CND 34. It features cellist Roger Albin, accompanied by pianist Claude Helffer and is titled "L'Evolution du Violoncelle". They perform selections by Bach, Boccherini, Brahms, Schumann, Breval, Beethoven, Faure and Debussy. This is a quite rare pressing, dating to the mid-1950s - the vinyl weighs 205 grams. I would grade this as a VG record - I've play tested the record and there is audible background noise throughout, but it does not overwhelm the music. Visually, light wear is visible, but consistent with a VG+ grade - the record looks perhaps better than it sounds. I have cleaned the record with the Disc Doctor's Miracle Record cleaner and sometimes it takes 2 to 3 plays after a cleaning for the effect of the cleaner to fully take place, however, no cleaning can correct the sound of wear/scratching on a pressing. The cover is also in VG condition, with some edge wear to the seams and a bit of visible ring wear. Given the rarity of this record, I would think that the background noise could be somewhat forgiven - this would be a good record to digitize and clean up through some processing for future listening. I am now shipping to my US clients through USPS services. I am located in Canada but I now have a carrier service to bring my parcels directly across the border on Thursdays to be shipped out of the USPS postal outlet in Champlain, N.Y. In addition to the actual shipping cost, I do charge a $3.00 handling fee to cover the cost of this special US service. Please note that even with the handling fee that it is less expensive and is a quicker service than using Canada Post. If you wish your item to be shipped by USPS in the same week, I would require your paypal payment by Wednesday at 5:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time.

PLEASE NOTE: For items which sell over $200.00, I must ship to my U.S. clients using Canada Post, this is due to customs regulations.

To my Canadian clients, I use Canada Post for shipping, as I am based in Canada - legally, I am not permitted to ship to you through the US, so do not rely on the US shipping calculator for costs.

To my International clients I can ship by either Canada Post or by USPS (in order to use USPS for intl. clients - the items must sell for under $200.00).

I would request any client to get in touch with me upon winning an item, who is NOT able to pay by Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, so I can get an idea of when to expect your payment.
