Description

Ultra Rare '60s Surf Rock Girl Group
Produced by The Beach Boys, Brian Wilson
The Honeys
The One You Can't Have b/w From Jimmy With Tears
 Columbia Records - #5093
VG+/VG+

Up for bid is a very rare DJ/Promo 45 of the all-female surf rock group, The Honeys performing The One You Can't Have b/w From Jimmy With Tears.  Recorded December, 1963 for Capitol Records.  Label is in VG+ condition with some ring wear on both sides and side A has an "X" to indicate the track that was to be promoted on air.  Label has no tears and color is good.  Vinyl is VG+ and shows no significant scratches or grooves and is glossy and clean.  Record has not been played so condition is based upon visual inspection only.  High resolution pictures are provided so that details can be reviewed.  Overall, this is an excellent vintage item to add to a collection.

The Honeys consisted of sisters Marilyn and Diane Rovell, and their cousin Ginger Blake.  The Beach Boys' Brian Wilson produced their music and wrote most of their songs.  The Honeys sang back up vocals on both Beach Boys and Jan and Dean records and often tour with both groups.  When surf music's popularity began to wane, Marilyn and Brian married and had two daughters, Carnie and Wendy Wilson, who found their own fame as members of Wilson Phillips.

Item will be come packed carefully wrapped to insure it arrives in the same condition it was sent.   Shipment is USPS.

This item is offered as a no reserve auction.  Item is offered as-is and returns are not accepted.  Please ask any questions prior to bidding.  Additional photos are available upon request.  Payment is accepted through PayPal only.  Item is shipped within one day of receipt of payment.   If you wish to take advantage of a combined shipping discount, please wait for an invoice to be sent, before submitting payment.  Multiple items not included in a single invoice cannot be provided this discount.

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!
