From my collection up for sale: An unbelievably RARE original 1962 Decca promotional pressing of "For Christmas Seals 1962". Probably only a handful of these exist! Features "The TONY BENNETT Show" with the jumpin' Count Basie Orchestral along with Tony's legendary expressive vocal style, songs include: "Plenty of money and you","The lullaby of Broadway", "Takin' a chance on love" and more! A full 15 minute show from Tony! The B side features "The Nat King Cole Show" Nat's golden voice delivers "Love", "For sentimental reasons", "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire" and more! A full 15 minute show from Nat! , Both artists make personal pleas to help in the fight against tuberculosis with Christmas Seals! The album comes with a COAST RADIO plastic outer sleeve!
The record grades strong VG+ to EX, is super clean and glossy, has one light mark on side one, the other is near pristine looking, looks rarely played! PLAY TESTED, plays from start to finish with excellent sound quality! Minimal surface noise! Quiet play with a couple errant light pops.A very enjoyable listen! Labels are super clean, only a couple small spindle marks.
The cover rates EX, is clean and bright, Edges & binder edge EX, no splits, no tape, one corner has a faint crease, no signatures or writing, , has been very well preserved for 60 years! (see all photos)
